Thurs 21st May at 7.30pm
You are invited to attend this event which marks the culmination of Global Link’s Heritage Lottery project researching the stories of local COs. Volunteers have uncovered the unflinching case histories of men and women from across Lancashire who were prepared to stand up for their convictions and brought them to life on Global Link’s Documenting Dissent website.
The event is being held at Lancaster YMCA, Fleet Square, on Thursday 21st May at 7.30pm (Refreshments from 7pm). There will be a talk by retired Leeds University lecturer, Cyril Pearce, who has compiled a database of WW1 COs. This will be followed by presentations from project volunteers and a showcase of the project webpage.
The event is free. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact Global Link at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01524 36201.
