Global Youth Work
Global Youth Work connects a young person’s personal experiences and passions with a global dimension – exploring the similarities, differences and links between that young person’s life and the lives of young people in other communities elsewhere. It’s about change and taking action to bring about change in individuals, communities and globally.
Over the past few Global Link has delivered training to both trainee and professional youth workers, and run global games and activities encouraging participation by young people.
Our activities help to:
- Encourage young people make links between the personal, local and global.
- Connect to peers who share their concerns.
- Encourage young people to challenge themselves to gain a more critical understanding of the world around them
- Support young people in bringing about positive change towards a more just and sustainable world.
In 2012, we set up Global Attitude, a website with information and resources for global youth workers in the North West.
