CREATIVE LEARNING AND ACTION FOR A JUST AND SUSTAINABLE WORLD

Arts Award

Global Link is now an Arts Award Adviser (Bronze and Silver). The Arts Award is a range of qualifications that support young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. To achieve an Arts Award, young people take on arts challenges, participating in arts activities, experiencing arts events, being inspired by artists and leading others. Taking part in Arts Award helps young people to get involved in the arts world and develop a range of skills.  For more information about Arts Award see the Arts Award website.

Global Link can support young people aged 11-25 to achieve their Bronze or Silver award by working with them on projects that aim to achieve the Arts Award criteria and entering young people for the Arts Award. For more information about how Global Link can support you or your organisation with Arts Award, contact Alison at Global Link on a.lloydwilliams[AT]globallink.org.uk

Arts and Global Learning

For Every Child

‘For Every Child’ is a collection of songs written by Andy Whitfield that can be used by teachers at Key Stages 2 and 3 to explore global learning issues. The songs explore different child rights according to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, including the right to grow up in a loving family environment, the right to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of thought and religion. Recordings of the songs are here.

For examples of global learning activities that explore children’s rights, see the Key Stage 3 case study (Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School – For Every Child) on the Global Learning Programme website.
