Global Link is a Development Education Centre (DEC), established in 1993 as a resource centre, promoting and delivering global learning or education for global citizenship and sustainability. Global learning develops:

  • – Critical and creative thinkingSelf-awareness and open mindedness towards difference
  • – Understanding of global issues and power relations
  • – Optimism and action for a better world

 

 

 

Since 1998 we have run participatory workshops (including Philosophy for Children, Persona Dolls, forum theatre, simulation games and role plays), exhibitions, simulated UN conferences, training and other events in schools, colleges and the wider community on global citizenship issues such as diversity, human rights, migration, fairtrade, climate change and sustainable development. Global Link is part of the wider development education and global learning movement and a member of The Global Learning Network https://www.thegloballearningnetwork.org/

Global Link is a partner in the local   Closing Loops local food sustainability project, and facilitates a vegetable growing project with asylum seekers and refugees at Claver Hill.
