Global Link is the best one! The first time there at Global Link, I felt happy. And people were there to help me. In Lancaster especially, it has a real community sense.

Working with Global Link has improved my confidence and self esteem. I have much more confidence myself. Global Link introduced me to Minds Matter and other organisations where I was able to do talk therapy.

Global Link provide weekly drop in sessions and have lots of activities going on. The opportunities for asylum seekers and refugees, and everyone else, to take part and to get to know others in similar situations…..

I have been able to attend courses, like Mobilise!, where we learn about diversity and I have also done interpreting courses. I took part in Refugee Week but due to Covid we had to do it online, but Global Link set this up and we were all able to take part.

I have also really enjoyed going to Claver Hill as I really enjoy gardening and meeting others outside. Christmas parties are the best…..and I really enjoyed doing refugee week and running the children’s project.

Global Link gave me the opportunity to volunteer with them and they have helped me to grow as a person….  I want to help more people who have been in similar situations and I want more people to help others. I feel very happy helping other people who are facing difficulties.

I am very thankful to Global Link. They have given me many opportunities for which I am grateful for. I am now a better person, with more confidence in myself and better self esteem, all thanks to Global Link. Everything and anything Global Link does – I’m there!
